Fewer breakouts and less redness, even before the treatment course is complete
An acne case study exploring skin analysis with VeraFace Skin Analysis Pro and cooling care with DermeLuxx Pro within a combined treatment programme.
Breakouts, redness and sensitivity: these were the concerns that brought a 36-year-old client to the clinic. She wanted to reduce breakouts, soothe irritated skin and improve hydration.
In this case, the redness was associated with irritation and inflammation. The programme therefore focused on skin with acne and the accompanying signs of inflammation.
The aesthetician designed a combined programme, with skin assessment and care adapted to the client’s sensitivity.

Skin condition and programme goals
Initial skin condition
In this case, the wish to “reduce breakouts” came alongside other concerns. The client was also troubled by sensitivity, redness and uneven skin tone. The programme therefore went beyond individual lesions to address the skin’s overall care needs.
Acne and inflammatory breakouts
The initial photographs show individual red lesions on the cheeks and along the lower face. Breakouts were the main concern, and the programme was built around addressing them.
Goal: reduce the severity of breakouts and signs of inflammation.
Redness and irritation
The redness accompanied skin irritation and inflammation. Red areas were visible not only around individual lesions, but also across larger areas of the cheeks.
Goal: reduce redness associated with inflammation and irritation.
Sensitivity and uneven skin tone
The client reported sensitive skin and wanted to improve hydration. At the same time, areas of redness and breakouts made the overall facial skin tone look uneven.
Goal: complement the work on breakouts with care tailored to the skin’s sensitivity.
The key insight from this case
In this case, addressing the red areas alone was not enough: the breakouts and inflammation behind the redness also needed attention.
The programme was therefore built around two connected goals: reducing the severity of breakouts and caring for sensitive, irritated skin.
The role of skin analysis and cooling care
The sections below focus on skin assessment and cooling care within Anastasia Kolosova’s combined programme.
VeraFace Skin Analysis Pro: assessing the skin’s condition
The programme included skin analysis with VeraFace SkicAnalysis Pro.
In this case, the analysis complemented the assessment of the skin’s initial condition. The work focused on breakouts, redness and the skin’s overall appearance, taking the client’s reported sensitivity into account.
DermeLuxx Pro: cryotherapy
The programme was complemented by three cryotherapy sessions with DermeLuxx Pro.
Cryotherapy provided a separate skin care component, with care for skin whose sensitivity had been one of the client’s initial concerns.
Progress: from breakouts and redness to a more even tone
Before treatment
The initial photographs show breakouts on the cheeks and lower face. Individual red lesions appear alongside larger areas of redness, making the skin tone look uneven.
This was the starting point against which the subsequent stages were compared.
BEFORE
BEFORE
Interim result
In the interim photographs, redness on the cheeks appears less intense. Some breakouts are still visible, but the red areas are already less noticeable.
This stage shows that the changes are gradual: the skin still has visible lesions, while the overall tone looks more even.

INTERIM RESULT
After
In the “after” photographs, breakouts and redness appear less pronounced than at the start. The facial skin tone is more even, and the skin’s surface looks smoother.
The natural texture and some irregularities remain. The result at this stage is less visible inflammation and redness, rather than the complete disappearance of all signs of acne.
AFTER
AFTER
What changed in this case
Breakouts are less visible.
Individual red lesions are less prominent in the overall appearance of the face.
Redness is less intense.
According to Anastasia’s observations, the signs of inflammation addressed within the programme had decreased.
The skin tone looks more even.
Red areas contrast less with the surrounding skin. The specialist also observed brighter, smoother-looking skin.
What this case offers the aesthetician
The value of this case lies in combining work on breakouts with attention to skin sensitivity. The client’s needs went beyond visible redness: acne, inflammation and care for irritated skin remained at the centre of the programme.
At the same time, this is an individual case, not a universal approach to treating acne. Light therapies can form part of a comprehensive treatment plan, but they do not replace assessment by a dermatologist or other prescribed treatments where needed. Results vary from case to case.
